Here you’ll find links to download two sample scripts.
The first is my own passion project – a third movie in ‘The Thing’ franchise that moves the action to McMurdo Station and reunites MacReady, Childs, and Kate from the 2011 prequel.
This was based on a short story I wrote during the pandemic, which revealed the fate of Childs and MacReady, set in modern-day New York, and introduced the idea that they had made it to McMurdo Station, back in the winter of 1982.
The second example is Whedon’s 45-minute pilot for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, translated into a vertical series microdrama format.
The micro adaptation collapses this into 6 episodes, averaging 2:20s each, each built around a single location and a single object that the vertical frame can hold in close-up.
The script’s principle of “one episode, one core event” is the focus throughout.
Both are examples of different styles, genres, and storytelling.
At the moment, I’m working on a number of projects, including two sci-fi features (an original screenplay and one based on a video game IP) and a Guy Ritchie-style heist movie set during biblical times.
