TTRPG Rules

Here you’ll find a link to a short document outlining the rules created for a new roleplaying game called ‘Death Dealing Dungeons’.

What I wanted to capture with this game was a bit of the fast dice brutality of the old Fighting Fantasy gamebooks mixed with the endless onslaught of Gauntlet, and spend a bit of time crafting a story behind it all.

The second example is a slower, play-by-mail game based on the Orbital Drift campaign I’ve written for Those Dark Places.

Players assume the roles of NPCs in their final moments before the actual campaign begins.

It’s the type of game system that can lend itself to many other scenarios, which I’ll be expanding on at a later date.

Feeling dicey?

I spend a lot of spare time dreaming up new concepts for roleplaying games across tabletop and play-by-mail, including the rules and dice systems needed. Want to chat about it?
